What to Expect
As chiropractors in Houston we want all of our patients to feel immediately at home when they walk in the door. Since chiropractic care involves a series of visits, with each one building on the ones before, it’s important for you to feel comfortable right from the start.
Your First Visit to Our Houston Practice
Scheduling your Appointment
When scheduling your appointment with Dr. Michiel Rorick, the receptionist will ask for your benefit information if you are billing to insurance. We will send you an email including the paperwork we need completed for your first visit. Completing the paperwork ahead of time will save you time at your first visit. Please bring your insurance card and a photo ID when you arrive in the office for your first visit.
Purpose of your first visit
The purpose of your first visit is to gather the information we need to answer the questions that most patients want to know:
- What’s wrong
- Can we help you
- How long will it take to get well
- What will it cost
If for any reason, we can’t help, Dr. Michiel Rorick will refer you to someone who can, so you do not have to doctor hop.
Your Examination
During this visit, Dr. Rorick will perform a complete neurological, orthopedic, physical exam. He will also take basic x-rays of your area of complaint. We will be ready on the following day to present your findings and your personalized treatment plan.
The average first-time visit is an hour.
